Research Scientist for Supervision of Academic Exchange Program (all genders)

Your Profile

  • Excellent university degree, ideally PhD, in skin biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong background in experimental research and a solid understanding of skin biology (preferred primary cell culture, skin models, cell imaging, immunoassays, gene expression).
  • Proven experience of mentoring or supervising students or junior researchers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide students.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • A strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and contributing to the professional development of students.
  • Excellent English and German language skills.

Your Tasks

  • Student Mentorship: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to international students during their internships, helping them apply academic knowledge to industrial research tasks.
  • Project Coordination: Design and execute capstone research projects focused on skin biology, ensuring alignment with Beiersdorf R&D’s current goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the exchange of innovative methodologies and techniques between the students and Beiersdorf working teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess students’ progress and provide feedback to help them grow academically and professionally, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
  • Research Contribution: Collaborate with Beiersdorf’s R&D teams to integrate students’ work into broader company initiatives, contributing to publications and product development where applicable.
  • Program Development: Assist in refining the structure and content of the international Student Exchange Program, ensuring it meets both academic and corporate needs.
