Your Tasks

The department Supply Chain in BSS IT supports and consults the business units and corporate functions of Supply Chain Management. As part of BSS IT, the team Supply Chain Planning is responsible for all IT solutions and technology matters around supply chain planning at Beiersdorf. We are involved in all phases of the software life cycle: definition, design, development, implementation, and maintenance. For that, we take over functional as well as project management tasks in projects and possess ownership of all related IT systems.

You build trusted partner relationships with our business, know the framework conditions, processes, and exhaust technical possibilities while having an eye on future trends and IT capabilities.

Your tasks include:

  • Design and implementation of OMP planning solution
  • Optimize our production, procurement, and inventory solvers
  • Support end-to-end supply chain planning projects
  • Co-creation of processes and IT solutions with our business partners
  • Establishment of state-of-the-art SCP systems
  • Analyze and establish IT architecture and interfaces to ERP and data & analytics platforms
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external consultants in SCM projects
  • Participate in the definition and realization of the target IT architecture for our cognitive planning excellence program
  • Foster partner relationships with our business, know the framework conditions, processes, and exhaust technical possibilities while having an eye on future trends and IT capabilities
  • Working in agile teams and bring solutions to a global level.

Your Profile

  • University degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with the design and implementation of IT planning systems
  • Strong expertise in solver setup of OMP solution
  • Strong understanding of theoretical statistical methods, algorithms, heuristics, solvers for supply chain planning
  • Certified OMP solution consultant
  • Strong business background in end-to-end supply chain planning
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies
  • Experience in writing IT specifications and understanding of (OPAL) programming language
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems and data & analytics platforms

  • Fluency in English is a must, German language skills are a plus.
