We take BEYOND BORDERS seriously: you shape your program and decide which boundaries you want to cross during the 18 months. The details of the program are flexible and individually coordinated with us (you can find more information about the program here).

I embarked my Beiersdorf journey as Marketing trainee in 2002. Thereafter, I worked in different local, regional, and global roles in our HQ & Dutch Affiliate. Since 2022, I work in a jobshare with my colleague Catherine as Marketing Director Germany/CH. We had several successes, such as the Best Brands Award for NIVEA. During my time as trainee, I learned a lot that has served me well over the last 20 years – not to forget the amazing trainee network.
I moved from Japan to Hamburg in August 2023 to start as a BEYOND BORDERS trainee. I first thought the career move would be a big leap for me, but now after some time, I’m glad that I chose Beiersdorf. Starting a career in a foreign country comes with a bundle of challenges but I’ve met so many inspiring colleagues and in the trainee community I’ve built friendships that serve as my support system. I really couldn’t have asked for a better career start.
My trainee journey started in August 2023 together with 7 new trainees. Sharing the experience of being new to Hamburg, we were keen on exploring the city. Within weeks, I felt home and made amazing friends. Rotating through departments allows me to gain a multi-angle perspective on marketing while learning about different jobs at Beiersdorf. I believe there is no easier way to form your network within Beiersdorf than the BEYOND BORDERS Trainee.
