With our global DE&I strategy in place, we are bringing our commitment to life by systematically embedding Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in all aspects of our business. That means that we are constantly challenging the status quo, reducing biases and promoting an inclusive corporate culture for all genders, origins, backgrounds and cultures, sexual orientation and gender identities, as well as generations and include people of all abilities. Our Code of Conduct ensures that our values are reflected in our everyday work, wherever Beiersdorf and its subsidiaries do business.

We strive to become the company of choice for diverse global talent by embedding a truly inclusive culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging and has equitable opportunities to succeed. That is why Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is not only a key element of our strategic choices but is also driven by a global network of more than 100 DE&I champions and various employee grassroot communities. We are regarding these communities as an essential generator of our culture, through them we are making sure that everyone has the opportunity to bring in their very own perspective and to foster that truly inclusive we-culture.

50/50 Gender Parity

To ensure equitable opportunities for all genders, we focus on dismantling the barriers that might prevent equal career advancement. Holding ourselves accountable, we announced our “Beiersdorf Gender Parity Ambition“ on International Women‘s Day 2021: We committed to achieving a 50/50 gender balanced leadership across all management levels worldwide by 2025.

We are very proud of having reached this target 18 months ahead of schedule. The representation of women in management positions worldwide stands at 50.3% as of September 1, 2023. Since January 2023, the female board representation stands at 42.9% which means that we have tripled our progress over the past three years.

In accordance with the “Law on Equal Participation of Women and Men in Leadership Positions”, Beiersdorf AG is required by law to set targets for the percentage of women on the first two senior management levels below the Executive Board, including periods for achieving these targets.

#SisterhoodisPower: What started as a Hamburg based women’s network, snowballed into a dynamic global community with over 1,000 members and numerous local chapters. #SisterhoodisPower empowers women through inspiration, peer support, mentoring, and advocacy. By fostering a supportive environment where women can achieve their ambitions, the grassroots community contributes to Beiersdorf’s ambition to become a truly gender-balanced organization.

The grassroot actively helps embrace career and fatherhood as an opportunity for dads and Beiersdorf to grow. Among other things, they are partners in the “conpadres” initiative, a cross-company network for greater compatibility from a father’s perspective.
