Your Tasks

The Master thesis will be implemented in the laboratory for Skin Rejuvenation and Longevity. As part of the master thesis, you will investigate longevity in the skin context and will develop in vitro assays and state of the art cell biological methods. Join our Research & Development department to apply and broaden your acquired biological and scientific skills working together with our enthusiastic research team. At Beiersdorf, you will have the opportunity to work on company-relevant projects and gain insight into a leading global skin care company.

Your tasks:

  • Establishment and processing of 2D and 3D skin models
  • Use of various microscopic detection methods
  • Establishment and usage of biochemical and molecular biological assays (e.g. immunofluorescence, cell painting, ELISA, gene expression systems)

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates, enthusiastic about science from the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedicine and related disciplines who are familiar with molecular biology laboratory work. In addition, you should fulfil the following requirements:

  • Advanced theoretical and practical skills in cell biological methods, most importantly cell culture of primary cells or cell lines
  • Highly motivated team player
  • Well organized, responsible, accurate mode of work
  • Experience in MS Office and scientific analysis software
  • Basic knowledge of German
  • Matriculated during the master thesis

YOUR SALARY

Curious about your salary? Your work at Beiersdorf will be fairly remunerated, both with a voluntary internship and with a compulsory internship you earn 2.025 € per month. For a working student activity, our salary is 19,39€ per hour.
