As part of Beiersdorf Shared Services, our IT Strategy, Architecture & Portfolio function plays a vital role in ensuring strategic alignment between business needs and IT capabilities across global brands like NIVEA, Eucerin, and Hansaplast. We enable value-driven decision-making by overseeing the entire demand lifecycle, ensuring transparency, prioritization, and delivery of impactful initiatives across the IT portfolio.


To strengthen this mission, we are looking for a Senior Portfolio & Demand Manager (all genders) who brings strategic foresight, operational excellence, and a collaborative mindset to manage a dynamic global project portfolio and drive business value.
In this role, you will:

  • Act as a strategic partner to business units and IT teams by translating business goals into structured, prioritized demand pipelines and actionable project roadmaps.
  • Drive the development of a sustainable execution framework by integrating portfolio management, value realization, demand planning, and enterprise architecture—ensuring cohesive, forward-looking delivery of initiatives.
  • Champion a strong value mindset, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with business outcomes and contribute measurable value to the organization.
  • Support development and implementation of value measurement frameworks for transparency and accountability in IT investments
  • Manage the global IT project portfolio, ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment with strategic objectives across all business functions.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance structures and best practices for efficient and standardized portfolio and demand management.
  • Lead and continuously evolve the end-to-end demand management process, from intake and evaluation to prioritization, governance, and delivery tracking.
  • Support cross-functional steering committees and decision-making bodies by delivering clear, data-driven portfolio insights, reports, and recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance and Controlling teams to enable sound investment planning, accurate forecasting, and benefit tracking across IT initiatives.
  • Cultivate a positive and structured change management culture, enabling smooth transitions, stakeholder engagement, and adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Continuously improve portfolio and demand management processes by leveraging stakeholder feedback, digital tools, and automation to increase transparency, agility, and value delivery.

Your Profile

  • Degree in (Business) Computer Science, (Business) Engineering or a related IT-focused field
  • Several years of experience in IT portfolio management, demand management, IT Strategy Consultancy, or strategic project planning, ideally in a global matrix organization
  • Strong understanding of IT project and program management methodologies, tools, and lifecycles
  • Strong ability to simplify complex technical topics, making them understandable for diverse stakeholders
  • Profound expertise in Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g. SAP LeanIX), methods and frameworks
  • Strong Experience working with portfolio management platforms (e.g. ServiceNow) and excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and executive-ready reports
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proactive, structured, and business-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks and hybrid delivery models is a plus
