Your Tasks
Data Collection and Cleaning:
Gather data from various sources, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and formatted correctly for analysis.
Data Analysis:
Conduct preliminary analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in demand data, providing insights that support demand forecasting.
Reporting:
Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards that summarize key metrics and findings for the Demand Planning team and other stakeholders.
Collaboration:
Work closely with team members to understand their data needs and provide analytical support for ongoing projects and initiatives.
Forecasting Support:
Assist in the development of demand forecasts by analysing historical data and market trends, contributing to more accurate planning.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving data collection and analysis processes, helping to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Documentation:
Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Ad-hoc Analysis:
Respond to ad-hoc data requests from team members and stakeholders, providing timely and relevant insights as needed.
Learning and Development:
Continuously develop your analytical skills and knowledge of demand planning processes, tools, and best practices.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate findings and insights effectively to team members and other departments, ensuring that data-driven decisions are well-informed.
Your Profile
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, or Python/R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create reports and dashboards.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and methods used in data analysis and forecasting.
- Ability to analyse complex data sets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity in analyses and reports.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various departments.
- A proactive mindset to identify issues and propose data-driven solutions to improve demand planning processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes.
Preferred
- Experience in FMCG
- 1 year+ in a Supply Chain or Sales role (preferably in a similar role)
