This position will manage the tax compliance matters on northern cone affiliates of the group (Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Colombia and Ecuador), guaranteeing accuracy on tax compliance across the northern cone region supported by local teams/ tax advisors preparing tax compliance

Your Tasks

  • Coordinate and act as the main point of contact for local teams/advisors, manage day to day discussions and checkpoints with local teams/tax advisors preparing tax compliance across the northern cone region, this role should be able to: review, challenge, steer and standardize the execution of the compliance prepared by local teams/tax advisors across the region.
  • Monitor KPI’s, inform the key stakeholders across the region.
  • Support Local Teams with ad-hoc tax authorities' requirements whenever required.
  • Interaction with Local Teams is needed to follow up and deliver results according to the group's standards.
  • The position requires to be based in Mexico City (Hybrid)

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar.
  • 6 years of experience in tax area of multinational companies and / or advisory firms.
  • Strong knowledge in tax compliance (advance payments, Income Tax, VAT, withholding tax, Tax Report, monthly and annual informative returns, Mandatory disclosure regulations, steering of internal + external tax audits.
  • Knowledge on cross border transactions, double taxation treaties application, as well as transfer pricing rules.
  • Proven experience coordinating teams across regions is a must.
  • Fluent in English for business purposes.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communicator and collaborator
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
  • Able to work comfortably to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge in SAP, NIF, IFRS.
