Scientific Communication Manager (all genders) Early Innovation

Your Tasks

  • Use the Job-To-Be-Done framework (based on a consumer centric approach) and market insights to identify new scientific stories and ensure its R&D feasibility.

  • Efficiently initiate and translate strategic scientific R&D themes for internal and/or external communication.

  • Collaborate with subject specialists (e.g., lab units) to ensure a proper support of communication elements/claims and align it accordingly with R&D, Legal and Corporate Communication.

  • Ability to translate scientific concepts and mechanisms (skin science, active ingredients, technologies, and products) into a consumer language suitable to communicate effectively with marketing and sales.

  • Responsible for correct documentation and reporting of the issues dealt within the area of responsibility.

  • Alignment and coordination of both input (requests and needs) and output (assets and information) with various stakeholders within R&D, marketing, sales, medical management, to name a few.

  • Stay up to date with scientific and cosmetic market developments and trends.

  • Ensure OTIF, coordinate and collaborate with external partners in the development of deliverables (digital assets, e.g. presentation and videos) that support/manifest the outcome of the work.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, chemistry, pharma or comparable subjects, Business Degree or PhD degree is a plus

  • Several years of working experience in cosmetics or food industry within R&D or Marketing, with profound records in scientific communication and  social media.

  • Excellent organizing & communication skills with high level of attention to details.

  • Experiences working with international multi-country teams in global role.

  • Proactive, self-motivated , self-reliant with effective skills to prioritise.

  • Excellent analytical skills and strong ability in the transfer of research results & connecting various data sources into communication.

  • Experience in generating various assets (presentations, videos)

  • Passion for the consumer, perspective and topics around skin care and beauty and interest in working interdisciplinary in a cross-functional environment.

  • Fluent spoken and written proficiency in English

Hamburg/Germany is the primary location for this position. Therefore, we recommend residence in Hamburg.

Our company agreement allows basically up to 40% of the working time in a flexible work location in Germany. The exact arrangement of this agreement in the relevant team will be explained in a personal conversation.
