Your Tasks

At Beiersdorf, we are committed to enabling digital transformation across our organization. Our “Process Automation” team is a trusted partner to all business functions. As such we enable their digital transformation by a) implementing end-to-end solutions to digitalize, automate and optimize business processes as well as b) drive adoption of Citizen Development across Beiersdorf. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced “Power Platform Consultant” to join the team.


Being technology experts, we implement our solutions with humans for humans – partnering with fellow IT departments and digital business units alike is key to our success. Our team consists of experts for process automation, case management, low-code Citizen development, RPA and process mining. As a team we own Beiersdorf’s automation technology platforms. We are part of Beiersdorf’s AI & Automation organization.

Relevant tech stack for this role:

  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • Azure resources, including SQL Server, Azure OpenAI

  • Automation Anywhere

Your Tasks:

  • You drive adoption of Citizen Development for process automation on the Microsoft Power Platform
    • Advocate the benefits of Citizen Development to business stakeholders at various levels and by speaking at internal fairs
    • Further grow our Power Platform community of practice across Beiersdorf
    • Drive capability building by supporting Citizen Developers on their first projects

  • You lead or co-lead our Power Platform Citizen Development community of practice
    • Take responsibility for regular community meetings
    • Organize community events like hackathons
    • Further develop our training material

  • You manage the Citizen Development ecosystem together with your colleagues by
    • classifying new use cases along the dimensions “feasible for Citizen Development” and “technology/ platform to apply”
    • conducting the solution design together with Citizen Developers

  • You further develop the Power Platform as our strategic low-code Citizen Development platform by creating templates and establishing best practices

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in Computer Science or in a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of general process automation concepts: BPM, RPA, hyperautomation, low-code etc.
  • Extensive work experience with Microsoft’s Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Power Automate including configuration and management of the platform itself
  • Strong tech foundations including databases and working with APIs
  • Experience in and passion for managing communities of practice and conducting hackathons and similar community events
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work in a self-organizing environment and eagerness to continuously learn
