Working Student Supply Chain Sustainability & Value Engineering (all genders) I Beiersdorf

Your Tasks

You will work at our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany. From the beginning you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced managers and experts across various Supply Chain functions and beyond. To maintain our leadership position in Climate Care (e.g., as one of ten companies worldwide with a CDP AAA rating), translating the overall Sustainability Transformation into actionable, strategic initiatives is fundamental. For Supply Chain as the operational backbone this means not only transforming how we deliver value in our global production and logistics network but also enabling the product transformation in terms of material innovations and future formats. To fuel this transformation, Value Engineering needs identify and capture optimization potentials across the entire product lifecycle.

Typical tasks you will be assigned to are:

  • Support of the Supply Chain Sustainability & Value Engineering team
  • Independent elaboration of work packages (e.g., Technology Scouting & Assessment) for the Supply Chain Sustainability Roadmaps
  • Preparation of top management presentations (e.g., for Supply Chain Leadership Team or Executive and Supervisory Board)
  • Organization of Net Zero training sessions
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making and improvement of organizational processes, structures and systems
  • Conduct analysis to identify value engineering potentials and clarifying these potentials with the other involved functions (e.g., R&D, packaging development, etc.)
  • Support value engineering lighthouse projects and sustainability accelerators

Your Profile

  • Advanced studies in engineering, management, or economics, ideally with focus on industrial engineering, controlling, business informatics or supply chain
  • Enrolled during the whole working student time in bachelor’s or master’s study
  • First experiences from previous internships or working student positions, preferably with management consulting
  • Safe handling of programs in the area of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Very good knowledge of Access, knowledge in PowerBI is a plus
  • Distinct understanding of numbers, analytical thinking and an independent and structured way of working
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English, German is a plus
