Procurement Controlling Manager (all genders)

Your Tasks

  • Business partnering with CPO, Procurement Department (Directs Raw & Pack materials), Supply Chain and Global Supply Chain / Manufacturing Controlling
  • Role has strong visibility to CSO and Corporate Controlling/CFO
  • Handling a spend of 1,4 bn EUR, you will play major role in material cost steering with an impact on Intercompany Pricing of our Production Centers.
  • Own and drive planning, forecasting, benchmarking and reporting processes for the material costs and material price variance for all internal Production Centers.
  • Understand and analyze feedstock market intelligence to comment, explain and challenge the actual and forecasted material price development.
  • Closely follow up, understand and steer sustainability agenda and its impacts on material prices (EUDR, Emissions Scope 3.1, sustainable raw materials, etc.)
  • Indicative KPIs to be monitored: Feedstock prices, Material Price Variances, Macro economic indicators (GDP, Inflation, Interest Rates, Energy, Purchasing Index, etc.), Accounts Payable/Payment Terms/DPO
  • Drive and contribute to the digital roadmap towards enhanced automated reporting, planning and forecasting. Background experience with Power BI and Predictive analytics is a plus.
  • Drive knowledge upskilling training sessions to ensure compliance and allow best practice sharing across Productions Centers.
  • Strongly collaborate with Production Centers to build knowledge and community development.
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster a culture of continuous learning, guiding team development initiatives that enhance skills, performance, and collaboration across diverse departments

Your Profile

  • A degree in engineering, business informatics or business administration, ideally with major in supply chain, finance or controlling
  • Several years of relevant experience in controlling (Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply chain)
  • Relevant experience in Market Intelligence
  • Strong methodological skills (e.g. supply chain processes and business case calculation)
  • High conceptual and analytical competence, proactivity and creativity in solutions with strong IT and data management skills
  • Strong project management experience and skills, project team lead experience will be helpful
  • Distinct skills in communication & presentation
  • Assertive and convincing in a role with high exposure, resilient under pressure with multi-tasking and time pressures
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office and good user knowledge of BI/SAP, knowledge of Power Bi would be desirable but not necessary, however the individual should be willing to learn
  • International working experience
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Hamburg/Germany is the primary location for this position. Therefore, we recommend residence in Hamburg.

Our company agreement allows basically up to 40% of the working time in a flexible work location in Germany. The exact arrangement of this agreement in the relevant team will be explained in a personal conversation.
