National Account Manager

As National Account Manager you will be responsible for one of our retail customers in our Grocery channel.  

 

The overall purpose of the role is to achieve commercial objectives and ensure that the account’s performance meets or exceeds set targets.  You will develop and create comprehensive account strategies and action plans, drive the customer portfolio to enhance distribution channels, implement effective promotions and ensure strong presence at points of sale (POS).

 

You will maintain a competitive edge in the market and achieve market share objectives through strategic initiatives.
 

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

 

Your Tasks

  • Implement & execute customer investment and sales strategies to meet short and long-term objectives.
  • Develop annual, medium, and long-term plans to achieve brand, category, and customer targets.
  • Oversee the customer portfolio through distribution, promotions, and POS presence to remain competitive and achieve market share objectives.
  • Manage the sales mix of the brand portfolio at the customer level to meet market share, sales, margins, and customer contribution targets
  • Successfully implement the agreed customer list price.
  • Plan and execute the customer promotion plan and analyse & review promotional activities.
  • Monitor delivery against annual customer plan objectives for product distribution and display at POS.
  • Achieve customer Net Pricing targets, maximizing return on investment and margin delivery.
  • Maintain strong business relationships with customers.
  • Ensure delivery of agreed monthly or quarterly business forecasts.

Your Profile

  • Experience in an Account or Sales Manager or Business Development role within an FMCG environment.
  • Proven ability to build excellent relationships with external customers and internal functions.
  • You will be a strategic thinker and complex problem solver.
  • Ability to manage conflict across all levels of the business.
  • Selling & negotiation skills.
  • Commercial ability.
  • Analytically minded.
