  • Women lead demand for skin care and our industry’s value chain. This is why gender equity is a priority for us. Since 2023, women and men have been equally represented in our global management roles, including the Executive Board and Supervisory Board. But gender equity for us means more than numbers.

    Flexible working models
    We offer different working models, including job sharing. Two people can share one job, even in leadership roles or as "senior meets junior" tandem. This practice not only helps retain knowledge. It also supports those who study alongside work, move into retirement or handle care responsibilities to give their best at work.

    Parental support and community engagement
    We offer childcare in Hamburg and online information for expectant parents. Partnerships with organizations like conpadres help us strengthen our understanding for parents’ needs. Our aim is for our working parents to use their skills for the benefit of their work and families.

    Our employee communities SisterhoodisPower, MOMhood by Sisterhood, and dad.icated support a gender-equitable workplace. They empower women, moms and dads through mentoring, networking and partnerships.

  • More than one billion people live with disabilities. We want to understand and support them better, both as colleagues and consumers. To do so, we aim to increase representation, grow confidence and remove barriers.

    More than 40 “Disability Inclusion Squads” at Beiersdorf work with over 30 organizations, including Valuable 500 and PurpleSpace. They help us make our sites more accessible and our practices more inclusive. Our employee community, Ability, speaks up for our colleagues with disabilities. They ensure that our actions are relevant and build long-term trust amongst employees and consumers.

  • “Be proud in your skin” guides us in creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity. Our support for the LGBTIQ+ community goes beyond our workplace. We take part in Pride activities such as the Christopher Street Day demonstrations in many cities around the globe.

    We do this with partners around the globe, like  WELCOMING OUT, Prout at Work and Olivia macht Schule e.V. in Germany. Our LGBTIQ+ employee community, Be You @Beiersdorf, is also active in many countries. They raise awareness for the topics of this group of consumers and colleagues. 

  • Inclusion is a journey. To ensure a future-fit culture that lasts, we must model inclusive behavior and enable everyone to grow on the way.

    Inclusive Leadership
    The Global DE&I Essentials Journey is our own program to develop role‑model leaders. It enables them to lead with empathy and understand the value of inclusion. Certified internal facilitators deliver the training. By the end of 2025, the program had reached more than 80% of our leadership group of over 3,000 people.

    Inclusive Language
    Language plays an important role in developing a sense of belonging and building stronger communities. Through guides, tips and tools we promote inclusive language to make sure we choose our words with care.

Meet Our Employee Communities

Employee communities help drive cultural change and innovation. These Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are run by employees for employees. They create safe spaces where colleagues can connect through shared identities or experiences. Together, they help others understand the different needs of the employees and consumers they represent.
